Qdrant Receives Industry Honors for Innovation in AI and Vector Search

Industry Leading Vector Database is Named to CB Insights’ 2025 AI 100 and Wins AI TechAward in Data Storage and Access

Qdrant, the high-performance, open-source vector database, today announced that it received two esteemed industry accolades. CB Insights named Qdrant to its ninth annual AI 100 list, honoring the 100 most promising private artificial intelligence companies globally. In addition, Qdrant won a 2025 AI TechAward in the "Data Storage and Access" category, to be presented at the upcoming AI DevSummit 2025 in San Francisco, CA.

“We are honored to receive both of these recognitions,” said Andre Zayarni, CEO of Qdrant. “The distinctions reflect our commitment to pioneering the highest performance, most scalable vector search that is transforming how everyone from startups to enterprises power and scale next generation AI applications.”

The CB Insights list recognizes early—and mid-stage startups that lead the way in applying AI across industries and architectures.

“The AI 100 winners are future movers and shakers, taking big swings that will shape the future of AI,” said Manlio Carrelli, CEO at CB Insights. “This year’s cohort is pushing AI applications from emerging to having emerged, working on everything from AI agents for complex processes to security and robotics. They’ve also zeroed in on new and promising technologies that might not be on the radar of many enterprises — multi-agent systems, novel computing and data curation approaches, and physical AI.”

The CB Insights research team picked winning companies based on CB Insights datasets, including deal activity, industry partnerships, team strength, investor strength, employee headcount, analyst briefings and proprietary Commercial Maturity and Mosaic scores. The 100 winners include 21 startups in AI agent platforms and infrastructure, 12 in AI observability and governance, and 12 in physical AI technology and building blocks.

The 2025 AI TechAward spotlights top developer tools and technologies.

“Qdrant’s win showcases their leading role in the growth and innovation across the software industry,” said Jonathan Pasky, Executive Producer of DevNetwork, producer of AI DevSummit and the AI TechAwards. Winners were selected by an expert-led advisory board.
