MAPFRE USA President and CEO Jaime Tamayo today announced that Mark Pasko has been appointed Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of MAPFRE USA effective July 21, 2025. In this role, Pasko will be responsible for MAPFRE’s legal, regulatory and government affairs in the U.S., as well as compliance, state filings and corporate governance matters.

Pasko brings decades of corporate counsel, insurance and management experience to the company. He joins MAPFRE after having served most recently as Chief Legal Officer of QBE North America where he managed the legal and regulatory affairs for QBE’s North American and Bermuda operations.

Pasko received a law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School, a master of science in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
