Fish & Richardson has elevated Elham Dehbozorgi to the position of general counsel, effective July 1, 2025. She succeeds Roger D. Feldman, who will retire on December 31, 2025, after a distinguished career. Principal Heather Flanagan, Ph.D., has been named the office managing principal of Fish & Richardson's Austin office. Flanagan succeeds Principal James Babineau, who has led the office for over a decade. The Austin office is one of three firm locations in Texas and houses over 25 attorneys and technology specialists.

Richard A. Sterba has been named the office managing principal of Fish & Richardson’s Washington, D.C. office. He succeeds Lauren Degnan, who is transitioning out of the position to focus on her new role as co-leader of the firm’s Appellate Group. The Washington, D.C. office houses more than 80 intellectual property attorneys and technology specialists.

Fish & Richardson secured an across-the-board victory on behalf of payroll and workforce solutions provider Proliant, Inc., and its chief executive officer Kevin Clayton in a complex copyright infringement and corporate governance dispute with MPAY, Inc. The Minnesota State Court’s two recent orders for summary judgment resolve the corporate governance dispute and follow on the heels of an earlier summary judgment victory in U.S. District Court relating to copyright infringement.

Fish & Richardson secured a significant victory for Exela Pharma Sciences, LLC, the maker of ELCYS®, in patent infringement litigation against Eton Pharmaceuticals, Inc., over its intent to produce a generic version of Exela’s patented ELCYS® product. ELCYS® is the only FDA-approved cysteine hydrochloride injection on the market for use as an additive to amino acid solutions to meet the nutritional requirements of newborn infants requiring total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and of adult and pediatric patients with severe liver disease who may have impaired enzymatic processes and require TPN.

Fish & Richardson has named Katie Creedon as its new chief legal talent & inclusion officer. Creedon will have broad responsibilities for leading and managing the firm's legal recruiting, professional development, DEI, and pro bono teams across Fish’s offices in the United States, Germany and China.

A Maryland jury has returned a verdict for Evangeline Parker, represented pro bono by Fish & Richardson and the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, in a case alleging sex-based discrimination and violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act by her former employer, Reema Consulting Services, Inc. The jury awarded Parker $725,000 in compensatory and punitive damages for being subjected to a hostile work environment based on sex, and for being fired for speaking up about the hostile environment.

Fish & Richardson has been named to Bloomberg Law’s first-ever Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Framework. Fish is one of only 28 U.S. law firms to be recognized for meeting or exceeding an established threshold for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm.

Fish & Richardson has helped three China-based manufacturers and sellers of commercial catering equipment secure a rare victory in an International Trade Commission investigation brought against them. On October 14, 2021, the ITC voted to affirm that no violation of Section 337 occurred and to terminate the investigation. The ITC held that the complainants had failed to show substantial injury to a domestic industry. Because the complainants’ failure to show substantial injury to a domestic industry was a dispositive issue that terminated the investigation, the ITC took no position on the trade secrets issues under review, and such issues are not subject to any appeal of the ITC’s decision. The ITC otherwise adopted a finding of no tortious interference with contractual relationships.

Green has led the marketing and business development functions of multiple Am Law 200 law firms and created widely admired programs to enhance relationships between law firms and their clients. With more than two decades of experience, Green will oversee all marketing and business development initiatives across Fish’s 14 offices.

After a three-day trial, a San Diego jury has returned a verdict that Seirus Innovative Accessories, a Poway, California-based company represented by Fish & Richardson, did not infringe Columbia Sportswear’s design patent with its HeatWave line of snow sports products, concluding an eight-year litigation campaign launched by Columbia over competing cold-weather gear and heat-reflective fabric.

Fish & Richardson has named Kristine McKinney to be its new chief operating officer. McKinney replaces current COO Richard J. Anderson, who served in the role for the past eight years and is stepping away as part of a planned succession.
